Image of the Week...BRRRRRRRR....

So in true predictable Pannack style 1.30 am. But as promised I have stuck to my word and applied a punishment.. more than one image features due to not posting officially on Thursday...

From Russia to the depths of the Docklands,my Bronica roamed..all within such a window where the snow touched both..

Even those whose inner child has now died and are fed up with the slush cannot deny a hint of a romantic grin when seeing pile upon pile of snow suddenly fill the floor. Silence fills the air,the pace of life calms and polite greetings to strangers suddenly seem automatic.

A trip to Russia allowed a twenty minute walk down one street before a flight home and my poor Bronica reluctantly sat in my suitcase as we beavered away. My thanks to Tim for his hard work and ability to see in the dark.

Other images result from another recent DLR trip that was short but still proved to satisfy my desire to escape... not quite as fufilling as the seaside, different though.. very different. The maze of estates painted in christmas lights felt other worldly. As the darkness poured in , the fresh walk through what felt like dangerous soil was refreshing, exciting and a blissful dose of breathing space. A time to think, feel and be.

A merry Christmas ... a weird holiday when time stands still and fleets simultaneously from one year to the next....
